Third Visit - Saturday, 22 April 2010

And I thought I wouldn't be talking about weather after every visit.

Having experienced first hand the results of not checking the weather forecast beforehand, I very diligently googled for Saturday's weather forecast.

Rain, it predicted - starting from as early as 10am in the morning, with thunderstorms in the afternoon. And it looked to be the same for the whole of next week!

Well, I decided it wouldn't deter me. It couldn't possibly be worse than my second visit. Or so I thought.

And I was right! There was nary a sign of rain, though it drizzled slightly when we were leaving the park at 6pm. Is it any wonder that weather forecasts have been traditionally scoffed at?

We sat on Enchanted Airways and Jurassic Park Rapid Adventures - and that meant that we had experienced all the rides and shows in the park at least once! (With the exception of Battlestar Galactica, of course.) Enchanted Airways was quite predictably short with average thrills meant for the young. Still, let's just say my wife enjoyed the ride with her usual flair.

Jurassic Park Rapid Adventures was shorter than I had expected - both the length of the ride, and the drop at the end. Very family friendly. I suspect it was due to the design of the vehicle that prevented a longer drop so that it wouldn't tip over and cause a major catastrophe. Just for the record - I got the wet end of the bargain at the end of the ride.

Yet another great day at Universal Studios. One thing I learnt today - my kid can sleep through a Category 5 hurricane.

Anyway, since its the already the third visit - less talk more pics!

Panda out looking for food! Get out of his way!

Irresistible toads.

Its a shame, but a few months into the park's soft opening, this baby's already missing quite a few teeth thanks to souvenir hunters.

The crowd was incredible today. As in dense. Lots of people, that is.

Waterworld cast revving up the crowd.

I just couldn't resist taking pictures of the crowd getting wet while I'm all dry.

The plane made its appearance! I certainly didn't recall seeing it during my previous visits.

"Why am I the only one not upside down?"

The police has recently taken to patrolling Universal Studios Singapore. I'm quite sure I did not see this car during my past visits.

The "centerpiece" which I was extremely unhappy about in my post of my 2nd visit.

A collectible dinosaur water bottle! If I'm right, you can ask for refills at S$1 each.

The green tea gelato seemed to be suffering the same fate as we did in the hot sun. More pics in the link below.
